Nationwide Veteran Resources
The CWV’s mission is to monitor and coordinate VA’s administration of health care, benefits, services, and programs for women Veterans. The center serves as an advocate for cultural transformation and to raise awareness of the responsibility to treat women Veterans with dignity and respect. If you need assistance with VA services, CWV can help. Email 00w@va.gov to speak with CWV.
The Women Veterans Call Center will help you navigate VA, point you in the right direction, and connect you with the Women Veterans Program Manager at your local VA medical center. This service is free and confidential, and you can call as many times as you need. If you are a woman Veteran you may call for yourself, or anyone may call for a woman Veteran you know. All calls are answered by women, some of whom are Veterans themselves. Call or text the Women Veterans Call Center at 855-VA-WOMEN (855-829-6636) or use the online chat feature.
Transgender American Veterans Association engages with our members, governmental agencies, other advocacy groups, media and the public in order to ensure our members receive full services and dignified treatment by promoting the values of equality, fairness and respect on behalf of our members and provide a supportive community for Veterans who identify under the “Transgender Umbrella”.
Established in 2017, WoVeN is a vibrant community for women Veterans of all eras and service branches. In addition to providing community, WoVeN strives to empower women Veterans with information, education, and resources to improve their quality of life. Connection and community are at the core of the WoVeN program. You can get involved in WoVeN by joining a WoVeN group, becoming a WoVeN Peer Leader, or interacting with other women Veterans through our Facebook Community Page.
Our veterans and military families are our communities' best assets. VYP envisions a future where all veterans, active duty, their families, and communities have access to a full range of mind-body practices that support their efforts to be leaders in their own lives, in their own families, and in their own communities. VYP will continue to support recovery and resilience via: Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery Training, Mindful Resilience for Compassion Fatigue, Mindful Resilience Yoga Classes, Mindful Resilience 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training, VYP Mindful Resilience Program Development & Consultation, Mindful Resilience & Yoga Research Programs. VYP intends to increase our programs to reach more veterans, more diverse veterans, more veterans in rural areas, justice-involved veterans, and active duty military.
